The irony of life is happening right at Chelsea. The Blues are in need of midfielders, while Conor Gallagher is excelling at Crystal Palace, and while Chelsea were in dire need of a striker against Everton on Thursday, youngster Armando Broja was on fire for Southampton.
Young Blue Armando Broja is already having an impressive season with Southampton, as he was sent on a season-long loan move to join the Saints.
After an impressive loan spell with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem last season where he bagged 10 league goals, Broja has continued that rich vein of form at Southampton.
He now has four goals in six starts for the Saints – no player aged 20 or under has more this Premier League season. Overall, he has scored six goals in all competitions for the Saints this season.
Following his impressive form so far, former Chelsea ace Joe Cole has admitted that the 19-year-old is a top talent.
“This lad here, I’ve worked with Broja in the youth team. He’s an outstanding talent,” said the former Blues winger.
“He’s put his game together and is a great lad.”
