Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has been in remarkable form under Thomas Tuchel, and the German has been a key part of the Chelsea team.
Rudiger has missed just one of Chelsea’s opening 14 Premier League games, and he seems indispensable for Chelsea in the left central defence position.
Liverpool legend John Barnes has now hailed Rudiger and has revealed that the 28-year-old has improved remarkably in terms of going forward as a defender.
“He has been sensational, he has also improved in coming forward,” Barnes told Amazon Prime ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Watford on Wednesday.
“Because the way he wants to play, as much as he is a good defender, he wasn’t doing this as much for Chelsea.
“But now, he is coming forward, because of everyone is working hard behind him if he loses the ball. For me, he has been their best player, their most consistent player.”
