Chelsea right-back Reece James had to be substituted in the first-half against Brighton on Wednesday night and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed James suffered a hamstring injury.

Asked about James’ injury after the 1-1 draw, Tuchel said: “No prognosis. It’s a hamstring injury. We have no more full-backs, everyone is injured. The injury was a huge blow [during the match].”

Shortly after James was replaced by Marcos Alonso, Blues summer signing Romelu Lukaku rose well from a corner to give the Chelsea the lead.

However, Danny Welbeck scored a late equaliser as both teams share the points which means the Blues have now drawn three of our last four league games.
