According to The Athletic via Daily Express, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has held talks with first-team coach Anthony Barry over his future at the club.
Barry has been approached by several clubs over their vacant manager roles but Tuchel rates him highly and doesn’t want to lose him.
Fleetwood Town, Aberdeen, Cardiff City and Tranmere Rovers have all reportedly asked about the availability of Barry.
Tuchel has held extensive talks with Barry about his future and has made clear that he wants the young coach to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Barry mostly focuses on set-piece training at Chelsea and Tuchel was recently seen congratulating the former Wrexham midfielder after Thiago Silva headed in Mason Mount’s set-piece against West Ham earlier in December.
