Three Chelsea players test positive for Covid-19 ahead of Everton clash

According to Goal, three more Chelsea players have tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of Thursday’s Premier League game against Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic is already out for the game against Everton due to Covid-19 and the Blues now have three more senior players down with Covid-19.

While the identity of three players wasn’t revealed by Goal, the report claims they are senior players and have now been forced into self-isolation.

There has been no indication as yet that the Blues’ clash with Everton on Thursday is under threat, but that situation could change following the recent postponement of fixtures involving Tottenham and Manchester United.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was ready to include two of the affected players in his thoughts for the game against Everton, but has seen his pre-match planning thrown up in the air.
