Following Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Watford on Wednesday night, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has claimed Kai Havertz was the only Chelsea player that performed to his standards.
Havertz provided the assist for Mason Mount’s opener which was cancelled out by Emmanuel Dennis before second-half substitute Hakim Ziyech scored the winner for Chelsea.
“Havertz was very strong today,” Tuchel told Amazon Prime.
“I felt he was the one player reaching his level today. We missed some players.”
He added: “We had some players overloaded. We stole three points. We don’t have to talk around it. For the first time, it feels like a lucky win.”
