‘We can definitely do it’ — Mason Mount gives verdict on Chelsea’s title push

The belief was there at the start of the season that Chelsea can go on to win the Premier League, and at some point, Thomas Tuchel’s men climbed up to the top of the league.

However, recent poor results have seen Chelsea drop to 3rd and 6 points off the leaders Manchester City.

Chelsea boy Mason Mount is a Blue through and through, and he has been dubbed ‘the boy who had a dream.

Surely, the future captain of Chelsea and one with a big dream, Mount has revealed that he hasn’t given up on the title just yet, and is backing the team to bounce back and fight for the league.

“When you are putting that pressure on yourself to win the Premier League, every game brings pressure, every point counts,” Mount said.

“We were top for a bit, we draw some games and we drop down to third. That shows that if you drop points, the race can be over very quickly.

“The title has always been our goal. We want to be up there. More than ever this season, we feel like we have a big chance. We can definitely do it.

“We have the confidence. But we need to be humble and focused too. We need to keep doing the basics well.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
