Agreement reached and paperworks now signed. Chelsea complete first signing of January transfer window

The Blues have completed the first signing of the January transfer window but it’s not full-back which the Blues desperately need.

According to the reliable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign 16 year old Watford centre-back Travis Akomeah.

Romano tweeted: “Waiting for first-team fullback to arrive soon… Chelsea sign talented 16-year-old centre back Travis Akomeah from Watford. Agreement reached and paperworks now signed.

“Liverpool and Bournemouth were pushing too but Akomeah’s joining Chelsea.”

This signing is definitely one for the future as the Blues continue to add quality to the academy.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel confirmed last week he wants a left-back to be signed this January following the injury to Ben Chilwell.

“I don’t want to lie,” said Tuchel last week when discussing his transfer plans.

“We are looking into the situation because we have now a new situation with Ben Chilwell.

“One of the possibilities is a player we know and we love as a person, Emerson. But we need to check the details.

“We are discussing and reflecting and this will go on for the next days, maybe weeks.”
