According to reports, the Blues will seek to sign a striker next summer despite Romelu Lukaku’s public apology following his controversial interview with Sky Italia.

Chelsea have reportedly enquired about signing Napoli striker and Nigerian international Victor Osimhem ahead of next summer.

According to SportsMole, the Blues have learned the asking price for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen will be £66million.

French club Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Lukaku as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who could leave for Real Madrid when his PSG contract expires at the end of the season.

Should Lukaku ask to leave for PSG at the end of the season, Chelsea will reportedly sign Osimhen as his replacement.

Osimhen is under contract in Naples until 2025, having joined from Lille for £58.5m in 2020. He has since scored 19 goals in 44 appearances for Napoli.

PSG are reportedly ready to pay £75.5million for Lukaku, who has only scored five goals in 13 Premier League appearances since joining Chelsea.

PSG have also been linked with a move for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, but Lukaku is viewed as a more logical investment due to his age.
