Former Chelsea star Pat Nevin has hailed Hakim Ziyech as a joy to watch following his brilliant performance in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
Ziyech scored a stunner from outside the box to open the scoring for the Blues just two minutes into the second-half before Thiago Silva scored Chelsea’s second eight minutes later.
“That was brilliant, really,” the former Blues winger told Chelsea’s post-match Matchday Live programme.
“That’s his best game for us without a shadow of a doubt.
“He just looked like a different person out there. The confidence — that was a 17-yard ball…
“Honestly, he was a joy to watch.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United legend Roy Keane has warned Ziyech that he must now begin to deliver good performances on a regular basis to keep his place in the Chelsea starting XI.
“I think the reason he hasn’t been playing regularly is he hasn’t been consistent,” Keane told Sky Sports.
“He set a good standard today and scored during the week but he needs to be consistent with it.
“To play at one of the big clubs you have to do it week in week out and as talented as he is, he has not done it on a regular basis.”
