‘He’s a captain and leader’ — Chelsea fans hail player after fine performance against Chesterfield

Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic was named captain of the team for the first time as Chelsea played host to Chesterfield in the FA Cup third round clash.

Chelsea won the game 5-1, and as at half-time the Blues were already 4-0 ahead of the non-league side.

Kovacic played only the first 45 minutes of the game and he was extraordinary in his performance. He dominated play in midfield and his forward runs was extraordinary.

Chelsea fans took out time to praise the Croatian for his performance and his recent form. Some even believe that he’s a real captain material and a leader in the team.
