Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger scored the only goal of the game as Chelsea defeated Tottenham 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night.

Chelsea’s victory on Wednesday sealed a 3-0 aggregate victory over Spurs, and was enough to seal a place in the final for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Rudiger headed strongly from a corner kick and his goal was enough to seal the win for Chelsea.

Speaking after the game, Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta hailed Rudiger for his goal and admitted that the German is getting very dangerous in the opposition box.

Azpilicueta said: “He’s getting very dangerous, scoring goals. He is a great threat on set-plays and in this game he made the difference with the goal and, of course, with his defensive contribution.

“Toni has developed really well since he arrived. He has had a very big impact. Now he’s even a big threat on set-plays, which is amazing.

“The aggression that he has, the way he plays with the ball, it’s a pleasure to have him in our team.”
