Chelsea youngster Charlie Webster has been having an amazing time training with the senior team, and it’s an experience that the 17-year-old isn’t taking for granted.

The starlet has been an unused substitute in Chelsea’s recent FA Cup and League Cup games, and he has admitted that he has learnt so much being with the first team.

Webster particularly hailed the impact of Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic and revealed that the Croatian is one of the best central midfielders in the world.

Webster said: “Even though i did not make my Chelsea debut, the experience has been surreal,’ he notes. ‘I have taken on board everything that has been said to me and have just applied what I have known. Tuchel is a brilliant coach and I love his attention to detail. He made me understand that small details matter in every game.

“Mateo Kovacic has also been a major help. He is one of the best central midfielders in the world and I have learnt a lot from him.”
