Many will agree that Brighton deserved their point against Chelsea at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Blues were lethargic and didn’t seem interested against the Seagulls, and Hakim Ziyech’s stunning first half strike wasn’t enough for the three points.

Chelsea have only won one of our last seven league games, and the Blues are now 12 points behind leaders Manchester City, who also have a game in hand.

Speaking after the game, a disappointed Kepa Arrizabalaga admitted that it’s time for the team to pick up, as other teams behind are now gaining ground on Chelsea.

“We need points because we want to be on top of the league, but we have to look at ourselves, improve and step up,” Kepa told Chelsea TV.

“We have another big game on Sunday, a London derby, and from there we go.

“We are honest. We are in good positions in all the competitions – we are in the Champions League, we have the League Cup final and the World Club Cup – but in the Premier League we have dropped points in the last month.

“We have to get back to winning ways because everybody is coming [up behind us].”
