Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy may have won the FIFA best goalkeeper of the year award, but the 29-year-old missed out on the Fifpro best 11.

However, two Chelsea players made it to the star studded 11, as N’Golo Kante and Jorginho were both recognised for their exploits in 2021.

Also, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was named the FIFA coach of the year after guiding Chelsea to the Champions League last season.

The German may have been muscled out of the Premier League title race by Manchester City, but he’d be hoping for another successful year as Chelsea can still win the FIFA World Cup, Carabao Cup, FA Cup and the Champions League, having also won the Super Cup this season.
