Thomas Tuchel was officially appointed as the Chelsea head coach on January 26, 2021, shortly after the sack of Frank Lampard.

Tuchel took over Chelsea at a time when the team was struggling and at the middle of the table, but the appointment of the German last season changed everything for the Blues.

Tuchel led Chelsea to a top four finish in the league, and Chelsea surprised the whole of Europe to go on and win the league, against all odds.

Speaking about his year so far in charge of the club, Tuchel admitted that it has been a good year for him so far.

“A good year, a nice year,” Thomas Tuchel told Sky Sports after the game against Spurs, when asked to rate his first full year in charge of Chelsea.

“I feel very good because it feels still like the first day, nothing has changed, it is exactly the right place to be.

“I feel an enormous amount of support – hopefully many more years to come.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
