Tammy Abraham left Chelsea at the end of last season as he failed to get a regular game shirt under Thomas Tuchel.

Now 24, the Englishman was coveted by former Blues boss Jose Mourinho who took the young striker to Roma.

Abraham has been a bright light in Rome and bagged his 14th goal in all competitions during Roma’s crazy 4-3 loss against Juventus on Sunday.

Abraham’s form now makes him the highest scoring Englishman in any of Europe’s top five leagues this season. This means he has scored more times than any Englishman in Europe’s top five leagues in 2021/22.

This also means that Abraham has scored more goals than Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Raheem Sterling.

Also, no player in Italy’s first division has converted more non-penalty goals than the England international.

Surely, Chelsea must be thinking of the buyback clause in the Tammy Abraham deal.
