Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has claimed the Chelsea trio of Reece James, N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount are a great combination when they play together.
Mount, Kante and James haven’t been in the same starting XI since Boxing Day, largely due to an injury to wing-back James.
Mount and James combine well down the right wing with Kante, who usually moves to the right wing from midfield to create an overload.
“Reece, N’Golo Kanté and him (Mason Mount) were so strong together. When you turn, you know without even looking he will come now, or I will go and get the pass and he will come, so I will be here,” Tuchel said.
Meanwhile, Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has claimed Kante is the hardest opponent he has ever faced.
A fan asked Gundogan who the hardest midfield opponent he ever faced was, and the German responded by naming Kante.
“I would say N’Golo Kante. He’s really strong, the amount of work that he puts into the game, it’s just unbelievable…”
