These aren’t the best of times for Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, as he has seen his team drop from the top of the table to title contenders, and now top four battle.
Chelsea’s last seven games in the Premier League has seen Chelsea win just once, lose one and draw five times.
Chelsea’s draw with Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday has further compounded things for the Blues boss, and the signs are now worrying as Chelsea may just have to settle for a place in the top four.
Speaking to the media after the game, Tuchel was not keen to go into detail on many questions after a frustrating night at the Amex Stadium.
The Blues boss was seemingly annoyed when asked about Chelsea’s current form, and Tuchel replied the reporter with an angry tone.
“I have answered this question 100 times,” he said.
“If you look at our situation of long-term injuries, of key players injured and Covid and you look at our schedule you will have the answer.”
On the performance against Brighton he added: “We are tired, mentally and physically. You can see it in our performance. It’s as easy as that.”
