Chelsea defeated Tottenham 2-0 in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final clash at Stamford Bridge last week, and the Blues are the favourites heading to the final in Wembley.
Tottenham will host Chelsea on Wednesday for the second leg of the encounter, but Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel doesn’t want his players to be too comfortable heading into the second leg.
Asked if Chelsea have a foot in the final, Tuchel said during his press conference: “I would say we have no foot in the final.
“Not half a foot or one foot, why lose energy thinking about this? Spurs are a very good team and a top, top coach so we need to be prepared. Maybe it is better not to think too much. We need to be fully aware of everything and adapt to the situation.”
Tuchel has revealed he’s taking this competition seriously, especially having lost the FA Cup final last season to Leicester City.
