Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has admitted being frustrated by Chelsea over Armando Broja.

Broja joined Southampton on a season-long loan deal, and has impressed massively for the Saints.

Hasenhuttl has now revealed that the Saints haven’t been able to communicate with Chelsea over the young striker’s situation – whether he’d remain with the club for another year or return to his parent club.

The current situation at Chelsea means the club can’t negotiate anything about transfers and contracts.

Hasenhuttl explained: “We are discussing this topic at the moment, but we all know the situation at Chelsea.

“That there are a lot of changes there. It is, at the moment, not so easy to find the right person to talk to and to speak about futures with players.

“It is maybe easier to concentrate on your job and to do a good job until the end of the season, that helps him and helps us.”
