
Chelsea centre-back Thiago Silva admitted on Thursday that he’s finding it difficult to take in the pain of Chelsea’s Champions League exit.
Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League in the quarter-final against Real Madrid.
The Blues let a 3-0 lead slip, as the game ended 3-2 to favour Madrid on aggregate.
Silva admitted his pain on Thursday night, but also encouraged his teammates to forge ahead so they can finish the season strongly.
“These last two days have been very hard. Despite the disappointment, I’m very proud of our team, the ability to overcome obstacles and move forward. Come on Chelsea !! We still have a lot of work ahead, always with a lot of courage, determination and respect for this jersey,” the centre-back wrote.
Chelsea can still win the FA Cup this season, as the Blues are in the semi-final of the competition.
