Chelsea have played the most games in Europe, as the Blues have played in the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup, as well as reaching the League Cup final and progressing far into the FA Cup and Champions League this season.

Chelsea played a staggering seven games across the last 28 days, with a total of 53 games in all competitions, with up to 9 or 10 games left to play depending on whether Chelsea reach the FA Cup final.

Thomas Tuchel has admitted that the fixture schedule has made it a very demanding season.

“It’s very difficult and demanding,” the Chelsea boss told reporters.

“We just had a look at the minutes played this season and we are by far the team that played the most minutes. We added some minutes with extra times so this adds up. It’s pretty demanding but it’s what you sign up for.”
