Patrick Vieira has done very well in his first season as Crystal Palace manager, with Palace currently 10th in the league.

Palace held Chelsea for 88 minutes when the two sides met in February at Selhurst Park, with Hakim Ziyech scoring a late goal to give Chelsea the win.

Vieira has asked for a similar performance from his team yet again.

Rating Chelsea’s performance against Real Madrid, Vieira said: “They played well. It was a big game and they performed well. They were unlucky not to go to the semi-finals.

“We know what to expect from Chelsea. We know the team and their individual talent. We have to give our best performance.

“We lost 1-0 but we gave them a hard game in the league and we want the same approach. To play as best as we can and try and win the game. We’re ambitious.”
