Amid report that the Chelsea takeover may have hit a rock, Chelsea sponsors Trivago appear to have confirmed the Todd Boehly-led takeover is all set.
Trivago has sent a welcome message to the LA Dodgers co-owner on social media, congratulating him on a takeover.
“Welcome to the Chelsea FC family, Todd Boehly!” the Chelsea sponsors wrote in a statement.
Trivago stood by Chelsea during the time the club was hit with sanctions, with the likes of Three and Hyundai distancing themselves from the club.
A statement released by Trivago back in March reads: “The uncertainty over the current ownership situation of Chelsea FC has been challenging.
“Moving forward, it is important to us to continue supporting the club, the fans and community along with the essential work that the Chelsea Foundation does to help those in need.
“We are looking forward to a transition of ownership as soon as possible and want to support the club in this process.”
With Trivago congratulating Todd Boehly, they sure have inside information that a deal is set to be confirmed before the May 31st deadline.
