According to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea are ready to submit a bid for Real Madrid defender Eder Militao.

The Premier League side are in need of centre-backs after losing Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid and Andreas Christensen to Barcelona.

The Blues are reportedly interested in signing Militao this summer and are now set to submit a bid for the Brazilian centre-back.

Chelsea believe Eder Militao could be available this summer after Real Madrid signed Antonio  Rudiger from the club, with the Premier League side believing Rudiger and David Alaba would be the preferred centre-back pairing for Real Madrid next season.

The report however adds that Real Madrid are not too keen on letting Militao leave this summer after his impressive performances last season.

Los Blancos have also slapped a whopping €250million (£215m) asking price on the Brazil international, who has a contract until 2025.

Jules Kounde is another centre-back to have been linked with Chelsea, but Chelsea are so far yet to submit an official bid for the Sevilla defender.
